Welcome to CursorGuard. By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CursorGuard ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

CursorGuard provides automated security scanning for software repositories. Our Service includes:

  • Static code analysis using Semgrep and ESLint
  • AI-powered security analysis using Claude
  • Vulnerability detection and reporting
  • Automated documentation generation
  • Integration with GitHub repositories

3. Account Registration

To use CursorGuard, you must:

  • Create an account using valid information
  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 Free Tier

We offer a free tier with limited scans per month. Free tier users are subject to the same terms as paid subscribers.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period
  • Refunds are provided at our discretion

4.3 Usage Limits

Each plan includes a specific number of scans per month. Exceeding your limit may result in temporary service suspension until your next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Scan repositories you don't own or have permission to scan
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use the Service to develop competing products
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Circumvent usage limits or security measures

6. Repository Access

By connecting your GitHub repositories, you grant CursorGuard permission to:

  • Access and clone repository contents for scanning
  • Read repository metadata and commit history
  • Store scan results and vulnerability data

You represent that you have the authority to grant this access and that scanning the repository does not violate any agreements or laws.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • Source code is processed in isolated containers and deleted after scanning
  • Scan results are stored securely and accessible only to you
  • We do not sell your data to third parties

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our IP

CursorGuard, including its software, documentation, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software.

8.2 Your IP

You retain all rights to your source code and repositories. We claim no ownership over code you scan using our Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will find all security vulnerabilities
  • Scan results are 100% accurate
  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free

CursorGuard is a tool to assist with security, not a replacement for professional security audits.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CURSORGUARD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Data breaches or security incidents
  • Costs of substitute services
  • Business interruption

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CursorGuard from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
  • We may delete your account data after 30 days
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
